The Court will not reschedule hearings by email. Any matter that is not called on the Court's docket as scheduled shall be passed to the next motion hour for scheduling, followed by a scheduling Order. Parties and counsel are advised to be present at motion hour to discuss rescheduling. Parties and counsel NOT present when the matter is called at motion hour may be deemed to have waived any objection to the new hearing date. Standing Order
NOTICE
To ensure cases are getting prompt attention, Judge O'Connell requests parties awaiting a decision file a form AOC-280.
Time-sensitive agreed orders (e.g., funeral furlough, release to treatment, etc.) filed with the clerk, whether electronically or in-person, should be brought to the attention of the judge's staff as soon as possible. Even where an order has been filed electronically, a pleading may not come to the attention of the judge within the necessary time-frame unless her staff is made aware that it has been filed.
