Motion Hour Notice

State Holiday - May 26, 2025

Pursuant to JRP 302, whenever a state holiday falls on a Monday, the motion hour shall be held on the following Tuesday.  There shall be no Motion Hour, Monday May 26, 2025.  All motions noticed for this date will be passed to Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

Jefferson Circuit Court - Divisions 1 and 8

NO MOTION HOUR on May 27, 2025.  All motions noticed for this date will be passed to June 2, 2025.

Jefferson Circuit Court - Division 3

NO MOTION HOUR on May 27, 2025 and June 2, 2025.  All motions noticed for these dates will be passed to June 9, 2025.

Jefferson Circuit Court - Divisions 4 and 10

NO MOTION HOUR on June 2, 2025.  All motions noticed for this date will be passed to June 9, 2025.

ABOUT US >

Circuit Court is the court of general jurisdiction that hears civil matters involving more than $5,000, capital offenses and felonies, land dispute title cases and contested probate cases. Circuit Court has the power to issue injunctions, writs of prohibition and writs of mandamus and to hear appeals from District Court and administrative agencies.  In Jefferson County, there are thirteen separate divisions, or courtrooms.  Separate judges preside over each division.
